Part 3: The Secret

May 6, 2008 / by myconfessions

Collin and I are in my car, I'm driving while he is on the phone with his friend yelling at him ant telling him to mind his own business. All I can think is "This can't be good." After Collin gets off the phone he turns to me and says " I have to tell you something, you may want to break up with me, you might want to throw me out of your car..." At this point my heart is racing faster than it ever has. Then he says it.."I used to date Jen." (Jen is Collin's current roommate) After he says this I don't understand why it is such a big deal that Collin used to date his now lesbian roommate. Whew...I was thinking way worse.

The next day Collin's friend emails me to apologize for causing any drama but he just thought I should know that Collin was married...WTF WTF WTF! He's Married! I was shocked, pissed, hurt. I had no reason not to believe Collin's friend but to make sure I called an old roommate who had some classes with Collin in school in the past. She confirmed he was married, he told her when he had got married and how he was trying to get his wife pregnant. That was all the proof I needed.

I waited to tell Collin I knew he was married. I couldn't let him off so easy, losing me wouldn't be enough. I had been with Collin close to two months and we still had never slept together. I was a virgin and didn't want to regret my first time. I went to Collins house that day and pretended nothing happened. Let me tell you it is hard to pretend to love someone you loathe. We went into the bedroom I told him I wanted this weekend to be a special weekend. Collin couldn't wait to get me in bed I knew this would kill him. He offered to stay home from work, I told him no it had to wait until the weekend. He said "oh your the devil." My reply "Oh you have no Idea..". I dumped him the day before our special night. I couldn't let the first guy who had my heart break it, and get away with it that easy.
